Summer Racing at Musselburgh Racecourse
With summer on the horizon, Musselburgh Racecourse offers a great day out packed with entertainment for all the family. With an exciting choice of fixtures there is something for everyone whether you’re a seasoned race goer or simply want to be entertained. To make it easier children under 17 have free entry and there’s free onsite parking.
Tuesday 24th July – Summer Holiday Family Raceday
Schools out for summer and if you’re looking for the perfect day out for family and friends then look no further. It’s not just about the racing; Musselburgh provides a full day of entertainment during the school holidays with fairground rides, bouncy castles and face painters. Racecourse Opens at 12 noon, first race at 2.30pm.
Friday 3rd August – BlackRock Festival Racenight
This action packed evening has got TGIF written all over it. Gates open at 4pm so it’s still early enough to bring the kids to enjoy the carnival acts and fairground rides. For those who’ve just clocked off work and want to unwind away from the festival, the Racecourse offers great music and a special Fish and Chip Package that includes a Free Drink and Betting Voucher.
Sunday 30th September – The Royal Regiment of Scotland Family Raceday
Musselburgh’s close links with The Royal Regiment of Scotland sees the return of this popular day with lots of Army activities for all ages. The day is jam packed with fun activities including an inflatable assault course, a climbing tower face painting, pony racing and much more. Be entertained at this unique family day by the Royal Scots Association Pipe Band & The Lowland TA Band. Racecourse Opens at 12 noon, first race at 2.15pm
