Event guests and delegates will be be inspired by this beautiful ‘A’ listed building surrounded by 125 acres of parkland, complete with all the essential modern facilities.

Choose from a number of magnificent rooms, with views of the surrounding Italian Gardens acting as an impressive backdrop for any event. The grand Drawing Room, with its ornate fresco ceiling, is a breath-taking setting for larger events. Alternatively for smaller, more intimate gatherings, the wood-lined Edwin Muir Room or the atmospheric Armoury make a perfect match.

The historic splendour of Newbattle Abbey is located within a 125 acres of beautiful parkland setting just a short distance from Edinburgh. Newbattle Abbey has been the setting for photo shoots, adverts, and major TV dramas. The events team can offer stunning locations, build space, crew accommodation, and storage and unit parking.

Bespoke menus

The in-house catering team is experienced in preparing menus for different occasions, ranging from a simple buffet in the Crypt to a formal five-course dinner in the grand Drawing Room. The venue always uses fresh, local and seasonal produce wherever possible, with herbs and vegetables often coming from the grounds of Newbattle Abbey.
