Royal College of Physicians
The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh has a unique blend of modern and historic rooms providing the perfect, flexible, surroundings for your conference, meeting or event. Situated on Queen Street in the City centre overlooking the Queen Street Gardens, it is close to all amenities. Part of the College dates back to the 1770s and was designed by Robert Adam.
The Victorian Great Hall and galleried New Library are wonderful settings for larger dinners and receptions, while our Georgian Cullen Suite is ideal for smaller events. The physic garden provides an attractive outdoor area for small receptions.
The modern Conference Centre seats up to 300 people and is complemented by a key pad voting system, comprehensive AV facilities with a dedicated AV technician. It is surrounded by a dedicated exhibition and refreshment areas. Video conferencing services are available in the Conference Centre and Seminar rooms. Both the modern meeting rooms and the historic rooms have WiFi access. With the exception of the Conference Centre, all rooms in the college benefit from natural light. For conferences with a medical theme, we can provide a display of items from our extensive library of 50,000 books.
The College is licensed for civil weddings and religious ceremonies. Wedding parties enjoy exclusive use of the historic rooms on the day of the wedding. For evening entertainment, the Great Hall benefits from a large dance floor.
