The return of the Pommery Champagne Café Bar
The Pommery Champagne Café Bar is once again celebrating the Edinburgh Festival. For three weeks only, it’s possible to enjoy superb champagne at extraordinary prices in the exquisite interior of The Signet Library – one of Edinburgh’s finest buildings.
Situated just off the Royal Mile the Signet Library is perfectly located next to St Giles Cathedral at the heart of the Old Town. Pommery Champagne, in association with Heritage Portfolio, are presenting a stunning ‘pop up’ café bar like no other. It’s ideal for pre- or post- show drinks and a bite to eat with clients or friends or you can wander in throughout the day to enjoy divine coffee and cakes or indulge in a champagne afternoon tea – a real show-stopper and the runaway success at last year’s Pommery Bar.
Normally exclusively open for private events The Signet Library is the ultimate in elegance and dripping in atmosphere – it’s a truly unique chance to view the interior of one of Edinburgh’s finest buildings.
During the day the Café Bar is the ideal place to rendezvous with Festival visitors. Platters of seafood or antipasti for sharing are always on the menu along with freshly-baked cake and light-as-a-feather scones – the ultimate energy food before heading back to work or into a show.
At night the Pommery Champagne Café Bar is transformed with stunning lighting into an inviting and seductive space. Spacious, elegant and atmospheric, it’s a far cry from a frenetic pub and therefore the ultimate destination for visitors you want to impress during Edinburgh’s unrivalled August of performance and celebration.
