The Hub offers a true taste of Scotland

Edinburgh’s stunning landmark venue, The Hub, showcases its Scottish hospitality with the re-launch of a new ‘Taste of Scotland’ gala dinner package.
The new menu, designed for a minimum group of 100, offers a distinctly Scottish taste with the modern touch you would expect in one of Edinburgh’s finest restaurants.
The Hub’s head chef, Denis Zominy, created the new menu inspired by both the traditional and contemporary elements of Scotland’s food scene. Guests will arrive to a whisky cocktail and enjoy the spectacle of the traditional Address to the Haggis, followed by a gourmet four-course dinner.
To start, guests are served smoked haddock, leek, puy lentil and potato terrine served with Scottish samphire salad, caper and lime dressing. This will be followed by a modern take on the famous ‘haggis, neeps and tatties.’
For the main course, guests have a choice of Scottish beef with skirly tomato, sliced potato cake, wilted spinach and red wine jus; chicken stuffed with wild mushroom mousseline, Arran mustard potato cake and sticky crab apple chipolatas served with grilled scallion and oyster mushroom jus; or trout fillet, wine and onion fondant potato, braised fennel and Shetland mussel medley.
To finish off the evening, a dessert offering of Glayva and Scottish raspberry cheesecake with Scottish shortbread and raspberry and Drambuie shot puts the finishing touches on the menu that shows off the best of Scotland’s fields, seas, rivers, and glens. Entertainment continues after the meal with a highland dancing demonstration and a traditional Ceilidh.
Denis Zominy said: “Scottish culture is steeped in history, and our food tells an interesting story of our heritage and traditions. We are very excited to introduce a package that brings out the very best of Scotland’s famous dishes and combines more modern food trends with the ingredients we know and love.
“We’re hoping the quality of the food, and offering a new take on some Scottish favourites, will make our new menu standout at any event.”
£105.00 per person
Vegetarian and gluten-free options will also be available if booked in advance.
The full package includes exclusive room hire, half a bottle of wine per person, table decorations and a dedicated events manager.
