Edinburgh Hogmanay celebrations at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society
The Scotch Malt Whisky Society is set to welcome revellers to Edinburgh Hogmanay celebrations in two of the societies most unique venue locations:
Hogmanay Party at the Vaults
Pipe Major Iain Grant will sound the beginning of the celebratory evening as guests are piped up the steps and into position!
Champagne and canapes are served at the table as a live band opens for the evening. The special Hogmanay buffet will be served in the Cask Room with Chef Jenny being tasked with creating her finest offering.
A selection of desserts will be presented to the table while the societies “Dram of the Year” is showcased by an ambassador – an extra special one to mark the SMWS’s 35th anniversary.

Hogmanay in The Dining Room
In the Dining Room, the Society will welcome guests to the table with a glass of champagne and offer a unique and lush 5-course taster menu.
After the meal, the Kaleidoscope Bar will open for some dancing with returning band Rosy Blue. Dance the night away with a heart-warming mix of soul, blues, jazz and classic rock tunes. True to the society, everyone will be served with a dram before the bells – toasting a farewell to 2018.
Ticket includes an arrival drink, reserved table all night, 5-course dinner, drams for the bell and entertainment.The society’s sommelier has made a special celebratory selection of Champagnes and whiskies to match each course for an additional £55, or guests are free to order your favourite drinks.
