National Museums Scotland offers a stunning collection of Museums for a wide range of events, whether it be a small board meeting for 12 guests or a spectacular awards dinner for 950, each and every one ensures a unique and unforgettable experience.

The elegant grandeur of Victorian architecture combines with impressive contemporary spaces at the flagship National Museum of Scotland in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town. Following the £46m refurbishment of the Victorian part of the National Museum of Scotland, it re-opened in September 2011 and will feature the fabulous Grand Gallery.

Considered by many to be Scotland’s finest example of Victorian architecture, the Grand Gallery’s infinite slender columns and curving stair cases create a sense of grace and elegance. The grandeur of this magnificent space is a sumptuous backdrop for an unrivalled dinner, awards ceremony or party. The Grand Gallery can accommodate up to 950 guests for formal dining or 1500 guests for a drinks reception.

The refurbishment has also seen the creation of an additional space which is now available for events. The newly created street level Entrance Hall with it vaulted arches and stone pillars creates a unique atmosphere whilst providing first class facilities for guests.

For conferences and meeting space, the Museum offers a 200 seat Auditorium with adjacent breakout areas available for registration, exhibitions and catering.

Hawthornden Court and the Early People Gallery offer chic and contemporary options for events, with stunning gallery spaces to suit dinners for up to 120 guests, or large receptions for up to 700 guests.

The Boardrooms with views up to Edinburgh Castle and its own private roof terrace, is a fabulous option for smaller groups of 10 to 50 guests for meetings, lunches, presentations, intimate dinners and weddings.

The National Museum of Flight, a few miles east of Edinburgh, boasts The Concorde Experience where guests can enjoy boarding the iconic aircraft, dining under the wings and experiencing the lifestyle one the exclusive preserved of the rich and famous.
