Unique Venues of Edinburgh won the Business Tourism category of the 2008 Scottish Thistle on 24 October at a glittering ceremony at the EICC Edinburgh.
The Scottish Thistle Awards are in their 17th year and are an established benchmark of excellence and innovation across Scottish tourism. The Business Tourism market represents more than 20% of total expenditure on tourism in Scotland and there is an ambition to increase tourism by 50% in Scotland by 2015. With competition for this award being particularly fierce this year, it was a great win for the UVE.
