Ready for something completely different?

On 10 July The Scotch Malt Whisky Society is taking over the Members Room for an evening of exploration through their wonderful range of single cask whiskies led by guest liquor expert Phil Robins.

Phil has handpicked a selection of newly released bottlings and old favourites to create a journey through the society’s range like never before.

This evening will be a spectacular introduction and in the same breath a wonderful insight for those with more experienced palates. Attendees will explore eight individually crafted drinks influenced by 12 unique flavour profiles, using the Society’s whisky as the base for each serve. The evening will also take an interactive turn with the opportunity for attendees to to craft their own individual whisky punch.

Head chef, Jenny, will be serving both savoury and sweet delights to compliment the selection.

This is an exciting one off event, with background jazz supplied by Sam Gillespie and Friends .

Phil is well established in the trade with over 10 years’ experience working his way up from bar back to general manager in high volume cocktail bars across Scotland, Australia and New Zealand. His role call as brand ambassador for the likes of Martin Miller’s gin, Caorunn gin and Old Pulteney took him on a more sales orientated journey before making his mark as part of Glasgow based start-up, The Drink Cabinet. He joins forces with the SMWS in his current role where he is focusing on delivering bespoke training, menus and exclusive event collaborations within the drinks industry.
